How To Add Audio To WordPress

Adding audio (podcasts, music tracks, etc) to WordPress posts aids in adding value to your articles. Embedding it to your article isn’t hard. In this article, I will show you 3 different ways to add audio to a WP Post.

Adding your podcasts, music tracks, and seminar recordings to your website is a great way to add value and increase user engagement.

Adding audio involves the same method as adding images and video to WP.

How To Add Audio to WordPress post via Upload

1. Click the point you want the audio to be added.
2. Click add media
3. Then click on upload files
4. Choose the audio you want to upload from your device
5. Add the title, name of artist, caption, album and the description of the audio file
6. Finally, click Insert into Post

How To Add Audio to WordPress post via URL

1. Click the point you want the audio to be added.
2. Click add media
3. Click on insert URL
4. Paste the copied URL into the box. Once you do so, it will automatically display the audio file.
5. Finally, click Insert into post.

Note: You can’t edit or change the title, caption, artist name and description of the audio file using this method

How To Add Audio to WordPress post via Embedding Soundcloud

1. Visit Soundcloud.com
2. Search for the music you want to embed
3. Click share and select embed
4. Copy the code
5. Go to your WP post where you want to add it
6. Click Text at the top right
7. Then paste the code
8. Lastly, click visual, it will automatically display the song or the podcast.

 

How To Add Audio to WordPress post via Embedding Spotify

1. Visit Spotify.com or the App.
2. Click the three dots next to a playlist or a specific song.
3. If you are using the Web app select Copy Playlist Link, or Copy Song Link.
4. When using the Desktop app select Share → Copy Show Link.

5. Go to the post where you want to embed the audio.
6. Paste the copied URL from Spotify
7. The URL will automatically be converted to the embedded player in the editor:

How To Add Audio to WordPress post via Embedding Deezer

1. Visit Deezer.com
2. Search for the music you want to embed
3. Click share and Copy the code
4. Go to your WP post where you want to add it
5. Click Text at the top right
6. Then paste the code
7. Lastly, click visual, it will automatically display the song or the podcast.
